The Candy Cane Test

Q: Um... WTF?
A: Please be more specific.

Q: I thought your name was Kamikaze Sutra
A: You're correct, it was.

Q: Well, why'd you change it?
A: As it turns out, there is a band from New York called Kamikaze Sutra. They own kamikazesutra.com and it's likely they formed before us, so we changed our name to avoid any future legal troubles.

Q: And you picked the name The Candy Cane Test because...
A: The name refers to a test based on a Supreme Court ruling which states that government buildings may display nativity scenes and other religious objects during the winter holidays so long as they are displayed with "secular" items such as candy canes and plastic reindeer (the test is also referred to as the plastic reindeer rule).

Q: Your MySpace isn't working. Is this related?
A: Yes, our MySpace account has been moved to http://www.myspace.com/thecandycanetest for obvious reasons.

Q: Obvious? I don't see the reason.
A: The name change, genius. The old url had our old name in it; the new one has our new name in it.

Q: No need for name calling. When can I expect to hear the new record?
A: Our debut album is in the final stages of production and we are currently shopping for a label to distribute it. Stay tuned!
